Andy Andrews in his new book, “
The Final Summit” Book Two in the David Ponder Series published by Thomas Nelson has him on a quest to find the one principle that will save humanity.
Andy Andrews first introduced us to David Ponder in “The Traveler’s Gift”. Now, it is twenty-eight years later and the Archangel, Gabriel, appears again to David with an urgent mission. There is going to be a summit, a final summit, and the results will determine if there will be a future for humanity or if God is going to have to start over like He did with Noah. According to the Dictionary a “summit” is, a conference of highest-level officials (as heads of government)”. This summit does not involve heads of government but all the Travelers like David Ponder. David is the only tine traveler in the current time period so he is going to head it up while they all get together and discuss what is the two-word answer that will define one principle that will save humanity.
It is going to take the brightest minds of history to come up with an answer, individuals taking part range from Abraham Lincoln, George Washington Carver, Joan of Arc, to Anne Frank and Winston Churchill. All of them have something to say which will uplift and edify the reader but the search for the answer goes on and time is running out.
This is the first book I have read by Mr. Andrews but it will not be the last. Mr. Andrews is a very gifted author who uses an easy style of writing to get the reader into the story and into the character of both David Ponder and the Archangel Gabriel. It is a satisfying experience to have read this book and I recommend it highly. You won’t be disappointed.
