Irene Hannon in her new book “
Lethal Legacy” Book Three in the Guardians Of Justice series published by Revell Books focuses on Detective Cole Taylor and Kelly Warren.
From the Back Cover: A determined daughter . . .A skeptical detective . . .A deadly secret . . .
The police say her father’s death was suicide. Kelly Warren says it was murder–and she has new evidence to prove it. Detective Cole Taylor doesn’t put much credence in her claim, and nothing in his case review suggests foul play. But when he digs deeper (delete dash) and discovers startling information linking her to a long-buried secret, the danger escalates. Is history repeating itself? And who wants Kelly silenced?
The police ruled Kelly Warren’s father’s death a suicide. However, she did not believe that so she went hunting for proof that her father was murdered. She got the proof and brought it to police headquarters. Now the investigation has been reopened from suicide to murder and Kelly’s life is now in great danger. Cole needs to catch the killer before he makes Kelly his next victim. As always with an Irene Hannon novel there is mounting suspense that seems to squeeze the breath out of you. In “Lethal Legacy” Ms. Hannon seems to have written her best story yet. Kelly’s life in great jeopardy and this thriller becomes more and more exciting with the last hundred pages being an extremely wild ride. All I can say is imagine going on a roller coaster ride. At the beginning there is just the climb to the top but once you get to the top and experience that first drop then it is nothing but twists, turns, upside down loops until the ride ends. This is what Ms. Hannon does to us as readers with this book.
In ”Lethal Legacy” the theme of family relationships, and how they can impact a person’s entire life, runs throughout the book—affecting both the good guys and the bad guys! Family matters—that’s a key message of this book. This is a fun read, it is a fast read, however I do not recommend starting this book late at night because it will cost you sleep as you will not want to put it down. Ms. Hannon is an excellent writer who knows how to twist your nerve endings as she tightens the suspense. I recommend this book, and everything else that Ms. Hannon has written, highly!!

Loree Lough in her new book, “
A Man of Honor” Book Three in the First Responders Series published by Abingdon Press brings us into the lives of Dusty Parker and Grace Sinclair.
From the back cover: Dusty and Grace find love together, but will it be enough to pull them through tragedy?
On a steamy spring morning, Dusty Parker—part-time pastor, part-time search-and-rescue team member, and full-time administrator of a school for troubled boys—joins the search for a missing teenage girl. He partners with volunteer and inner-city school teacher Grace Sinclair, and what they find bonds them in ways neither could have expected.
As they begin to build their lives together, a visitor from the past causes Dusty and Grace to further open their hearts and home. But a threat is looming on their seemingly perfect lives and in one terrifying night, everything changes.
Dusty is the administrator of a school for troubled boys that is home to eleven boys that he cares for deeply. On the other hand there is Gonzo, the gang leader, he doesn’t care for the boys, only as new recruits for his gang. Dusty and Gonzo are in conflict that needs to be resolved. Dusty is part of the search-and-rescue team and when a teenage girl goes missing he is called in to help search. It is at this time that he meets Grace, inner-city school teacher, and romance blossoms. ”A Man of Honor” is filled with tension and many twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story is about child prostitution, those who are in it and those that are trying to get them out of it. Ms. Lough has managed to weave the romance between Dusty and Grace in such a way that it just captivates you. She makes you care for all the characters and their journey. This is also just plain fun and exciting as well. Don’t start this book late at night because it will cost you sleep.
