From the Back Cover: A Reimagining of The Pilgrim’s Progress
John Bunyan wrote “The Pilgrim’s Progress” while he was serving a twelve-year prison sentence for preaching the Gospel without permission. For more than two hundred years it was the second-best selling book in the world, trailing only the Bible. However with its archaic language it can be a little tough to read. Enter Steven James. He has given us a 21st Century version of this classic tale. While it is still an allegory for any Christian’s journey in this life it has the Steven James touch; Kadin is chased, attacked, healed, beaten, frozen and faces accusations, pitfalls, false luxury and betrayals. Mr. James has made this story super exciting. If you have read “The Pilgrim’s Progress” you will enjoy this book. If you didn’t read “The Pilgrim’s Progress” don’t worry, read “Quest for Celestia” and not only will you enjoy this book but you will receive all the flavor of the first one plus more. I recommend this book highly!
