Wil Mara in his new book “Frame 232 book coverFrame 232″ Book One in the Jason Hammond  series published by Tyndale House Publishers introduces us to Jason Hammond.

From the back cover:  The time had come, she decided, to rid herself of this burden, to take the steps necessary to put the matter to rest once and for all. And the first step, she knew—against every instinct and desire—was to watch that film.

During the reading of her mother’s will, Sheila Baker discovers that she has inherited everything her parents ever possessed, including their secrets. A mysterious safe-deposit box key leads her to the answers to one of history’s greatest conspiracies: Who killed John F. Kennedy? Not only does she have the missing film, revealing her mother as the infamous babushka lady, but she has proof that there was more than one shooter.

On the run from people who would stop at nothing to keep secrets buried, Sheila turns to billionaire sleuth Jason Hammond for help. Having lost his own family in a tragic plane crash, Jason knows a thing or two about running from the past. With a target on their backs and time running out, can Jason finally uncover the truth behind the crime that shook a generation—or will he and Sheila become its final victims?

One of the greatest conspiracy theories of all time:  how many shooters were there the day of President Kennedy’s assassination?  No matter what camp you find yourself in “Frame 232” is a highly complicated thriller.  Sheila has come into possession of her mother’s film of that day and she sees it.  Now she knows what happened.  However there are others who do not want her to know or to tell others and she is now the target of assassins.  Sheila’s only hope is Jason Hammond, a billionaire who solves mysteries and has his own personal problems.  Jason accepts the case and desperately tries to keep the two of them alive while he seeks out the truth of that day.  Lots of action, lots of excitement in this thriller that never lets you go.  The bad guys are really evil and the good guys are really good.  “Frame 232″ is a top-notch thriller that will keep you flipping pages as fast as you can read.  I recommend this book highly and look forward to the next book featuring Jason Hammond.

Susan May Warren in her new book “Take A Chance On Me book coverTake A Chance On Me” Book One in the Christiansen Family series published by Tyndale House Publishers takes us into the life of Darek Christiansen.

From the back cover:   Come home to the Christiansen’s, where faith and family meet real life.

To all who know her, Darek Christiansen is almost a dream bachelor—oldest son in the large Christiansen clan, heir to their historic Evergreen Lake Resort, and doting father. But he’s also wounded and angry since the tragic death of his wife, Felicity. No woman in Deep Haven dares come near.

New assistant county attorney Ivy Madison simply doesn’t know any better when she bids on Darek at the charity auction. Nor does she know that when she crafted a plea bargain three years ago to keep Jensen Atwood out of jail and in Deep Haven fulfilling community service, she was releasing the man responsible for Felicity’s death. All Ivy knows is that the Christiansens feel like the family she’s always longed for. And once she gets past Darek’s tough exterior, she finds a man she could spend the rest of her life with. Which scares her almost as much as Darek learning of her involvement in his wife’s case.

Caught between new love and old grudges, Darek must decide if he can set aside the past for a future with Ivy—a future more and more at risk as an approaching wildfire threatens to wipe out the Christiansen resort and Deep Haven itself.

I like this town of Deep Haven.  Ms. Warren does such a good job with the town and its inhabitants that you want to go there and live with them despite that the winters there are brutal.   Ivy Madison is the perfect heroine, she is the new assistant county attorney.  Ivy has an indirect connection with Darek though neither knows it at first.  Each of them has scars and wounds they need healed.  The only one who can heal them is God and they won’t let Him.  “Take A Chance On Me” is an emotional ride that will wring you out and then fill you with renewal.  God tells us that all things work together for the good and that, in His time, He makes all things beautiful.  Want to really know how He does it?  Susan May Warren shows us the how in this exciting story.  “Take A Chance On Me” is a wonderful, sweet story with power and depth that will keep you flipping pages.  I recommend this book highly and look forward to a return to Deep Haven.

As Christmas approaches, the joy of new life and the love that is born of forgiveness may hold the answer.

Join bestselling author Ann H. Gabhart for a peek into the world of the Shakers–and the world of the human heart.

There is a reason why there are so many stories about Christmas on the television about this time and that reason is everyone loves a good story where the spirit of Christmas changes a person by healing them of old hurts to free them to be themselves.  That’s why everyone wishes Christmas could last all year round.  History, The Civil War and a Husband and Wife separated by battle right before she is to give birth to their firstborn. Where do you go when you cannot go home and you have no money?  A note from Heather’s mother sends her to the Shaker village where her Great Aunt lives.  Heather is drawn to these people but also is a bit terrified due to all the stories she has heard. “Christmas At Harmony Hill” is all about Heather and family; the family she has with her husband, her mother and father and then with her great aunt.  This is a wonderful story that has a really neat take on the values of Christmas.  “Christmas At Harmony Hill” is one sweet read that you might want to read twice and then keep it handy to read again next year.
