Katarina Rosenblatt in her new book, “Stolen book coverStolen” published by Revell gives us The True Story of a Sex Trafficking Survivor.

From the Back Cover:  There is hope, even on the darkest of days

Katariina Rosenblatt was a lonely and abused young girl, yearning to be loved, wanting attention. That made her the perfect target. On an ordinary day, she met a confident young woman–someone Kat wished she could be like–who pretended to be a friend while slowly luring her into a child trafficking ring. A cycle of false friendships, threats, drugs, and violence kept her trapped.

As Kat shares her harrowing experiences, her ultimate escape, and her passionate efforts to now free other victims, you’ll see that not only is sex trafficking happening frighteningly close to home–it’s also something that can be stopped. Stolen is a warning, a celebration of survival, and a beacon of hope that will inspire you.

Years ago I saw a TV show where a family came to New York as tourists and by accident the youngest daughter was separated for a moment and in that time was kidnapped. She was then used for sex trafficking. I cannot imagine a greater crime against a person than this. One moment you have a normal life the next moment you are a slave to be used for sex and there is no escape. Yet in the middle of all this darkness Ms. Rosenblatt found hope. There was a way to escape. And not only did she escape she used her experience to found Stolen Ones–There Is H.O.P.E. For Me, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to freeing other victims of human trafficking. This is a remarkable story of rescue, redemption and reaching out to others. Sex trafficking does not only affect the person involved it affects all of us. Knowing what is going on gives us a tool so that we can help effect change. Everyone should read this book and be aware of what is going on right here at home.
