Melody Carlson in her new book, “Christmas Cat book coverThe Christmas Cat” published by Revell lets us experience Christmas with Garrison Brown.

From the back cover:  After years abroad, Garrison Brown finds himself at the home of his beloved grandmother who has just passed away. He must sort out her belongings, including six cats who need new homes. While he hopes to dispense with the task quickly–especially since he is severely allergic to cats–his grandmother’s instructions don’t allow for speed. She has left some challenging requirements for the future homes of her furry friends.

Can he match the cats with the perfect new owners? And is it possible that he might meet his own match along the way?

There is a reason why there are so many stories about Christmas on the television about this time and that reason is everyone loves a good story where the spirit of Christmas changes a person by healing them of old hurts to free them to be themselves.  That’s why everyone wishes Christmas could last all year round.  Melody Carlson knows how to write and she has delivered one of the finest Christmas stories yet.  What do you do when you set out to settle your Grandmother’s estate and she left very detailed instructions on how to place her six cats in new homes? What do you do when you have a severe allergy to cats? These are just some of the details Garrison has to deal with. It is not simple however it does get much more complicated as the story develops and blows up out of proportion. This is a lot of fun and opens the door for romance. This is the kind of story that can only happen at Christmas.  “The Christmas Cat” is one sweet read that you might want to read twice and then keep it handy to read again next year.
