Nichole Christoff in her new book, “Kill list book coverThe Kill List” Book One in the Jamie Sinclair series published by Alibi introduces us to Jamie Sinclair.

From the back cover:  In this taut debut thriller, Nichole Christoff introduces a savvy private investigator with nerves of steel—and a shattered heart.

As a top private eye turned security specialist, Jamie Sinclair has worked hard to put her broken marriage behind her. But when her lying, cheating ex-husband, army colonel Tim Thorp, calls with the news that his three-year-old daughter has been kidnapped, he begs Jamie to come find her. For the sake of the child, Jamie knows she can’t refuse. Now, despite the past, she’ll do everything in her power to bring little Brooke Thorp home alive.

Soon Jamie is back at Fort Leeds—the army base in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens where she grew up, the only child of a two-star general—chasing down leads and forging an uneasy alliance with the stern military police commander and the exacting FBI agent working Brooke’s case. But because Jamie’s father is now a U.S. senator, her recent run-in with a disturbed stalker is all over the news, and when she starts receiving gruesome threats echoing the stalker’s last words, she can’t shake the feeling that her investigation may be about more than a missing girl—and that someone very powerful is hiding something very significant . . . and very sinister.

Someone has kidnapped Jamie Sinclair’s ex-husband’s daughter and he is begging that she come and help find her. Now if it were me I am not so sure if I would go running off to go find my ex’s daughter with someone else however Jamie is made of better stuff than I am. This is a kidnapping mystery filled with a high degree of suspense and tension. There are people who do not want Jamie to succeed in her mission and they are willing to kill her to stop her. The Military plays a huge role in this adventure and it is interesting to see how all the pieces of the puzzle start to come together. You will not be able to figure out just what is going on. Fast paced action and betrayal are just some of the ingredients in this rousing actioner. “The Kill List” is a top-notch adventure that will really get your blood flowing as you flip pages trying to find out what is going to happen next. Don’t start this book late at night because you will lose sleep as you cannot put this book down until you finish it. I am so looking forward to the next adventure from this talented author.
