John Rector in his new book, “Ruthless book coverRuthless” published by Thomas & Mercer gives us an adventure with Nick White.

From the back cover: Nick White is the only person who can save Abigail Pierce. After uncovering a plot to have her killed, he attempts to warn her but instead puts himself squarely in the crosshairs. They know who he is, they know where he lives, they know how to get at his family.

Drawn into the conspiracy surrounding Abigail, Nick soon discovers the danger is bigger than he ever believed. Now he must uncover the truth to save her and himself. Gripping and intense, this novel is a twisted thrill ride from bestselling author John Rector.

This is definitely a thriller. Nick is in danger from, almost, page one and it escalates. Mr. Rector has given us a very clever mystery that has a lot to do with assassination but that is only the tip of this adventure. Be assured “Ruthless” is going to have you reading just as fast as you can trying to keep up with what happens next. My only problem was the “R” rated language. I didn’t see any value for it and do not feel that it added anything to the story. If we had done without it I think it would have helped Nick’s character. Other than that this is a good book.
