From the back cover: What if a deeper belief in God comes from embracing the tension of unbelief?
God is infinite, beyond our understanding—yet He chooses to reveal Himself in ways that spark questions rather than settling them all.
Instead of making Himself smaller, God invites us into a larger faith. One that has room for questions, victories, failures, and mystery. Because belief in an infinite God by finite humans is an act of exploration … a process of learning—and then embracing—what we can’t learn but can trust.
Discover the God who not only desires our belief but actually welcomes our curiosity.
Jesus asked the question: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”(Mark 9:23 NKJV) The man’s response is immediate: “Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24 NKJV) The super neat thing is that Jesus does not scold or belittle the father after he says that. What Jesus does is heal the boy which, obviously, comes from the father’s belief. This is what Barnabas Piper is exploring in the book. We all believe. That’s a given. However, we all have our moments of doubt. Help My Unbelief is a plea for a faith. This is something that Jesus doesn’t mind and wants t deal with. We all have that cry from our hearts. Barnabas Piper shows us how to deal with it ourselves and what we are expressing. I recommend it highly.
