C.E. Laureano in her new book “Sword and the Song bok coverThe Sword and the Song” Book Three in The Song Of Seare series published by NavPress continues the adventure with Conor and Aine

From the back cover:  The shadow of war.

A clash of brothers. A terrible sacrifice. In the face of powerful darkness, who will prevail?

The island of Seare is at war. The Red Druid is gathering strength and power to stand against Conor, Eoghan, and the brotherhood. But there is strife within the brotherhood as well. Eoghan still refuses to claim his rightful rule, and the resulting conflict creates an uncomfortable distance between him and Conor. When Conor leaves to find the key to defeating the Red Druid, Eoghan and Aine worry he will succumb to the danger. They set out on their own mission to defeat the Red Druid through Aine’s magical gifts.

But nothing―and no one―is as it seems.

This is it! This is the book we have been waiting for. This is the epic conclusion, third act, of the Song of Seare Trilogy. Act One, “Oath of the Brotherhood” introduced Conor and Aine and got the action going. Act Two, “Beneath the Forsaken City”,  is where the action really took off and it seemed The Red Druid had the upper hand. “The Sword and the Song” is Book Three in the series and this is the final battle with The Red Druid. In an effort to defeat the reign of terror Conor and Eoghan separate knowing that one or both of them may not survive. Ms. Laureano has given us a very exciting story filled with high drama.  She has also given us plenty to think about as she shows us the need to press close to God for His support and His guidance. Great stuff! I am sorry that this is the final book of the series. While I am looking forward to other books from this very talented author I am hoping that one day she will take us back to the land of Seare with new adventures.
