Dr. J. Denee’ in her new book, “Journey-Beyond-the-Trauma book coverJourney Beyond the Trauma” published by Dr. J. Denee’ gives us Simple Practices of Resilience for Survivors of Sexual Abuse.

From the back cover:   Journey Beyond the Trauma: Simple Practices of Resilience for Survivors of Sexual Abuse goes right to the heart of the issues related to abuse. It shares the impacts of abuse and offers simple, yet, practical strategies and information to help survivors reclaim and restore their lives.

Dr. J. Denee’ guides readers through a 30-day journey to jumpstart their innate resilience. Journey Beyond the Trauma helps survivors to:

  • Take responsibility for your healing and your life
  • Transform into your authentic self
  • Identify and manage triggers
  • Turn emotional pain into progression
  • Develop self-acceptance and reclaim self-worth
  • Embrace resilience as a way of life

I am always amazed at the ability of the human soul to bounce back from any traumatic experience. Instead of laying there a shattered mess on the floor the woman can muster her resources with The Holy Spirit and move on. It is time to be a survivor. Dr. Denee’ is. She has broken the book down into six pillars. Each pillar comes with a “Working Through Common Challenges” section and then there is a “Resilience Practice” for each pillar. At the conclusion of this book you will have experienced 30 days on your journey of resilience and recovery. Dr. Denee’ invites you to grab a journal and get started.
