From the back cover: A missing Girl is only the beginning…
Marissa Rooney stands in her daughter’s empty dorm room, a half-used vial of insulin clutched in her trembling hand. Brooke has been missing for days. Her roommate hasn’t seen her since that night in the bar. And if Marissa has Brooke’s insulin, it means that Brooke does not.
But Marissa isn’t alone in her terror. A phantom from her past is lurking in the shadows, waiting in the night, and holding her family captive…
In the dark.
If you look in the Dictionary under Thriller you will find “In The Dark” listed as one of the definitions. Brooke Parker, Marissa’s daughter, goes missing. It’s a race against time to find her as she’s an insulin-dependent diabetic. And Brooke is not the only girl gone missing, the police fear this is the work of a serial kidnapper. Let me tell you in advance this is a fast-paced, very exciting story. Go to the bathroom, take the phone off the hook and make yourself a bowl of popcorn. You are not going to want to be interrupted while reading this book. Start early as this is definitely an intriguing story that will have you muttering “oh, no” as you are reading as fast as you can to get to the next page. For great plot and edge-of-your seat, nail-biting suspense, “In The Dark” is definitely the book for you.
