Liz Johnson in her new book, “red door book coverThe Red Door Inn” Book One in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series published by Revell introduces us to Marie and Seth.

From the back cover:  Marie Carrington is broke, desperate, and hoping to find sanctuary on Prince Edward Island while decorating a renovated bed-and-breakfast. Seth Sloane moved three thousand miles to help restore his uncle’s Victorian B and B–and to forget about the fiancée who broke his heart. He wasn’t expecting to have to babysit a woman with a taste for expensive antiques and a bewildering habit of jumping every time he brushes past her.

The only thing Marie and Seth agree on is that getting the Red Door Inn ready to open in just two months will take everything they’ve got–and they have to find a way to work together. In the process, they may find something infinitely sweeter than they ever imagined on this island of dreams.

I think that the way this book begins is one of the best ways to introduce not only the characters but the setting as well. I think Ms. Johnson has done a spectacular job in creating the people who populate her book. You can identify with all of them but especially the main ones. Seth has a broken-heart and Marie is one of the more interesting characters that I have read about in quite a long time. When Seth and Marie get together the sparks really start to fly. And all of this takes place at a Bed&Breakfast on Prince Edward Island. I think you will enjoy reading this book and not want to put it down unless you finished. I recommend this book highly and am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
