Mesu Andrews in her new book, “Love’s Sacred Song” Book Two in the Treasures of His Love series published by Revell gives us a fictional account of King Solomon’s love story.

From the Back Cover: Wisdom came as God’s gift, but sacred love was forged through passion’s fire

Standing in the shadow of his famous father, young King Solomon wavers between fear and bravado, longing for a love that is true and pure–a love that can be his cornerstone.

A shepherdess in the northern city of Shunem, Arielah has known since she first laid eyes on Solomon that it was her destiny to become his bride. When her father secures a promise from Solomon to marry Arielah as a treaty bride to help unite the kingdom, it seems her dreams will come true.

But how can this simple shepherdess live as part of Solomon’s harem? Can Solomon set aside his distractions to give himself completely to just one woman? Or will he let duty, deception, and the daily routine divide his heart?

Mesu Andrews expertly weaves the words of the Song of Solomon into this touching story of the power of love from a master storyteller.

Mesu Andrews has once again written a wonderful, fictionalized version of a book of the Bible–this time it is Song of Solomon.  Song of Solomon is the love book of the Bible showing husbands and wives what God created love to be for a man and a woman and also showing how God loves His bride, the Church.   In “Love’s Sacred Song” Ms. Andrews has done a superb account of researching many different sources to give us a cast of characters that most of us are probably not aware of.

Ms. Andrews gives us the Biblical portrayal of the man, Solomon, in a new way.  While we are now witness to the day-to-day operations of the king, palace life and the rule of Israel, which we have not seen before, Ms. Andrews still gives us an accurate account of the Biblical story.  I believe that this book should be read, not only for the Biblical detail, but for the extra story that brings new life to the man we know as Solomon.  Well done.
