Linda Evans Shepherd knows that all of us have that moment when The Holy Spirit gives us a burden to pray for someone and for a specific period of time. Ms. Shepherd begins the book with the story of Jack who forgot to make a fuel check before he took off from Miami to Fort Pierce. After a short period of time in the air he quickly realized his mistake, he was going down. The problem was there was no safe place to land. However at that moment a parishioner got the burden to pray for Jack. Suddenly a freshly plowed field appeared and Jack was safely able to land the plane with no damage and he walked away. The parishioner prayed at exactly the moment that Jack was in great need. His ordeal lasted a half hour, the parishioner prayed for the same length of time. Ms. Shepherd provides us lots of stories like this and at the end of each story she also provides us a prayer we can pray.
